Please note, I’d rather not use encryption software, but I will if I can still run backup programs on the drive(s). And I definitely don’t want to use volumes. Ultimately, I simply want to plug in the USB drive or stick and voila, I’m prompted for a password before I or my backup software can proceed. Essentially, I think I’m looking for something to HIDE my folders and files.
Suggest anything, but please be SURE it meets my needs mentioned above. Or, if you think there’s a better way I’m all ears, but it can’t get in the way of my backups as they happen usually when my computer is unattended.
